FROM THE RECTOR’S DESK
The heights of greatness is not principled on the careless observance of the mob’s agitations but rather on a careful and dutiful mindset, which in itself presupposes orderliness, dutiful service, active activity and goal driving principles.

Our Mission
Pope John Paul II Seminary, Okpoma is a non-unisex missionary institution of the Catholic Diocese of Ogoja, established as a nursery bed for young minds into different spheres of human existence; though with its highest value on the vocation to the Catholic Priesthood......
Our Vision
Our vision is to empower students to acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value knowledge and skills that will support them, as life-long learners, to participate in and contribute to the global world and practice the core values of the school: respect, tolerance & inclusion, and excellence.

About Us
The Diocese of Ogoja was created in 1955 and covered the Old Ogoja Province including Abakiliki and Afikpo in Ebonyi State. Saint Augustine Minor Seminary Ezzamgbo, Abakiliki, was established in 1958 by late Bishop Thomas McGettrick with late Fr Joseph Spillane as Pioneer Rector. However with the creation of Abakiliki Diocese out of Ogoja in 1973, it was ceded to the new Diocese as a result of its geographical location. The need for the establishment of a minor seminary for Ogoja Diocese became necessary.
